“A couple of weeks ago my partner and I were treated to ‘A Taste of Things to Come’ from the chef for the up and coming Erskine Villa eatery. I’ve been working with the owner, Ken, for the good part of the last 18 months as we define not only the physical space, but also what the space is all about and one word rings throughout the whole story – community. And to me, an important and soulful part of community is sharing food.
The decision to open a pop-up in the lead up to the rooftop bar was a natural one. We wanted to open up the doors and invite people to come and have some fun with us – sample ‘A Taste of Things to Come’ and join in the pop-up concept dinners and seasonal food and drinks that we would be serving. It made perfect sense!
One of my favourite dishes from the tasting, which I photographed my friends getting stuck into here, was a hang over cure of epic proportions, but with the elegance of Brian’s cooking that is evident throughout all his dishes. I can’t wait to taste more of the things that are to come from this great little team in Erskine Villa.”
